How It Works
To join our Pick-up and Delivery route, print the Registration Form from our website and submit it to us. Please note that we’ll need your credit or debit card information, as your card will be billed with each weekly delivery to your home.
- Leave your garments in your designated laundry bag at the specified location. If you have special instructions regarding stains or repairs, pin a note to the outside of your garment bag.
- Your garments will be delivered back to your designated area on the next scheduled pick-up and delivery day.

In 1997, we opened Southport Cleaners and further expanded our services in 2007 to include a convenient and complimentary route service to your home or business. We take immense pride in being the sole Sanitone Certified Master Dry Cleaner in Brunswick County.

Our ownership, Allan and Cindy Cheatham, bring decades of experience and a strong commitment to community involvement. Allan’s dry cleaning journey spans over 40 years, from his days as a student and graduate of UNC Wilmington to his early career in Raleigh, NC, and finally returning to his coastal roots in 1997 as an owner and operator of Shallotte/Southport Cleaners. Cindy and Allan have been happily married since 1987, and Cindy often jokes that one of her favorite benefits of marrying a dry cleaner is never having to iron again.
But Allan and Cindy are more than just business owners; they are integral parts of the community. Allan is an active member of the South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club and holds a legacy membership at Brunswick Community College. Cindy serves on the board of the NC Community Foundation for Brunswick County and is a charter member of WPLB (Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Brunswick CC).
You’ll frequently find Allan and Cindy participating in fundraising events for various charities, including Relay 4 Life. They generously provide free cleaning services for programs like Coats for Kids and Coats for the Homeless. Allan is a member of the North Carolina Association of Launderers and Cleaners and has been recognized with the prestigious Community Service award from the Rotary Club. In addition to her responsibilities as a business owner, Cindy serves as a development manager with Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation in Brunswick County. The foundation’s mission is to raise awareness and funding for Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, benefiting both team members and patients.
