Our History
- In 1928, G. Flake Jenkins started working for Blakenship Cleaners.
- Mr. Jenkins married Mary Catherine Gibson.
- Mr. Jenkins served in Europe during WWll.
- Upon returning home, Mr. Jenkins used his GI Bill benefits to start Jenkins Cleaners in 1946.
- In 1959, Jenkins Cleaners moved to the historic Forest Heights Shopping Center.
- In 1972, the business was sold to their daughter and son-in-law, Lee and Helen Hollifield.
- Kevin, their son, joined the business in 1996.
- In July 2000, a larger building in Downtown Statesville was purchased.
- Family-owned and operated for more than 70 years, we’re committed to serving our community’s dry cleaning needs.
